Background

GMID was established in 2012 with the primary goal of linking Global retailers with Chinese manufacturers through the use of our consolidation service located in Hangzhou, China. In 2016, GMID set up its Australian operations to build up a platform to link Australian buyers & Chinese manufacturers through put the Building Materials supply industry. GMID currently has offices located in Hangzhou in China, Melbourne in Australia and Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea.

11. Can vendors within the GMID Australia United Operation Center (UOC) be trusted?
Yes, all the suppliers in UOC have extensive experience & knowledge of the Australia market having enjoyed a long trading history in the market. Their products are compliant with Australian standards if required
22. Are buyers limited to communicating with suppliers through the GMID Australia office?
No, buyers are actively encouraged to contact & deal with suppliers directly.
33. If buyers don’t have international import experience, can GMID provide assistance?
Of course, GMID is ideally placed and more than happy to help you buy from China directly.
44. Does GMID act as guarantor for all orders placed with suppliers in the UOC?
Yes, GMID can act as a guarantor, but a percentage commission will be charged.
55. How do buyers pay for their purchase orders?
Buyers are encouraged to make payment to Chinese suppliers directly.
66. If a buyer needs a product(s) beyond the range of product categories available from the UOC, can GIMD help to source them?
Yes, the GMID China office is very professional and experienced in providing this service for you.
77. What happens in the event of a quality issue?
Both parties must act in accordance with the terms of the relevant sales contract(s). However, GMID can assist with the communication and investigation of the issue between parties.
8Will buyers’ business and personal information be protected?
GMID will strictly protect the confidentiality of buyer’s personal and business information in accordance with the relevant privacy laws.
99. How can GMID be confident that the suppliers are the best choice for buyers?
GMID selects suppliers to be part of the GMID platform against a rigid selection criterion to ensure suppliers and their products are of a high standard. Although there can be no absolute guarantees, GMID will continually work with suppliers in the UOC to optimize the best outcomes for both the supplier and the buyer.
10Does GMID bear the legal liability in commercial disputes?
GMID will not bear any legal liability in commercial disputes unless it is provided for within a written contract of which GMID is party to and agrees to.

EXPORT BUSINESS

From 2012, GMID established its ‘fill-the-container’ consolidation service exporting full container loads of Hardware and Building products direct from our two warehouses in China to our Valued South Pacific Island customers. Currently we are exporting hundreds of containers every year through our ‘fill-the-container’ consolidation service.

We will continue to expand our operations with plans to travel throughout Asia sourcing quality Hardware and Building products direct from the Factory and shipping them direct to our Customers. Product categories include Wire, Glass, Doors, Fibro cement Board, Plaster board, Tiles, Construction Chemicals Grout, Glues, Insulation, Reinforcing and so on. In 2016, GMID opened our 5000 Square meter warehouse in Dandenong South, Melbourne, Australia. At this warehouse, we are creating Australia’s largest building materials display center with over two hundred suppliers expected to be on display under one roof. The new Dandenong Warehouse will also house our new export department that will service the Pacific Island regional markets.

We are developing a new Australian supplier ordering program that will allow our Customers to Input their own order mixed with many top Australian brand products. This program calculates the order cubic and dollar valve as the customer inputs their requirements. It is very user friendly and will be available soon.
